When wannabe disco diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a crime, her life takes a surprising turn when the cops hide her in the last place anyone would think to look a convent! Though the sequin-free lifestyle doesnt agree with her, Deloris finds her calling working with the choir, and under the suspicious watch of Mother Superior, breathes new life into the dusty convent while discovering a sisterhood shes never had before.
